🪴 Step 3: Bringing Your Plants Inside for Winter!
HOSE THEM DOWN!! Full blast! 💦
You’ve been treating with your witchy bug juice, now give those babies a good rinse to knock off anything still hanging around!
This is usually where I repot everything, too. I like giving my plants fresh soil for winter and checking for any unwanted pests in the soil. Don’t want to repot? That’s totally fine, too! But it saves me the trouble come spring when I yeet them back outside in spring!
My routine is wash, repot, treat, and spray again! I also like adding a slow-release fertilizer to give them a little something extra.
A word about treatments! I regularly use Bonide Systemic for my indoor plants, but when bringing plants inside or treating the greenhouse for winter, I use BioAdvanced Insect, Disease & Mite Killer. Bonide can make spider mite problems go CRAZY! Just make sure you choose products appropriate for your plants and follow the label directions.
And I save my greenhouse treatments for the off-season because we aren’t trying to hurt our bees and butterflies! 🐝🦋
So, wash those babies, treat for unwanted visitors, give them a little witchy bug juice, and get them ready for their winter home!
