In Florida’s warm climate, a small amount of daily water evaporation is completely normal, but losing more than a quarter-inch per day is often a warning sign of a hidden leak.

Before calling for repairs, homeowners can run a simple, non-invasive check using the 24-hour Bucket Test. By placing a water-filled bucket on the pool step and marking both water levels, you can easily compare atmospheric evaporation against actual pool water loss.

If the pool water level drops faster than the water inside the bucket, underground pipes, light niches, or skimmers may be leaking. Ignoring a leak not only increases your water bill but can also compromise the structural integrity of your pool deck and surrounding soil.

At Superb Pools, we utilize advanced acoustic devices and pressure testing technology to pinpoint leaks quickly and accurately, preventing minor issues from turning into major structural repairs.

A successful pool resurfacing project doesn't end when the water fills up, what happens during the first 30 days is what determines the longevity and appearance of your new finish.

Known as the "Fire-Up" period, this initial curing phase requires rigorous daily surface brushing, meticulous chemical balancing, and temporary equipment adjustments to prevent scaling, rough textures, and premature discoloration.

Without specialized attention during these critical weeks, even the highest-quality materials can suffer irreversible surface damage.

That is why Superb Pools includes complete, professional Fire-Up services with our resurfacing projects. Our trained team manages every chemical visit and surface check, giving homeowners total peace of mind that their investment is fully protected.

Planning a pool resurfacing project goes far beyond picking a color, the material you choose determines how long your pool will last and how much maintenance it will require over the years.

While traditional plaster finishes offer a classic, smooth look, high-end aggregate finishes like Pebble Tech completely transform both the aesthetics and the structural lifespan of the pool.

Pebble finishes offer superior resistance to chemical staining, enhanced durability against Florida’s harsh climate, and an elevated resort-style texture that enriches the water's natural color. Although it represents a higher initial investment, its 15+ year durability drastically reduces the long-term cost of frequent resurfacing.

At Superb Pools, we help homeowners select premium finishes that align with their vision, bringing together superior craftsmanship, sophisticated design, and long-lasting quality.
