🥹🍞🩷 A LITTLE SOURDOUGH STORY THAT DESERVES TO BE TOLD!

If you guys don’t know, last year I ACCIDENTALLY COOKED MY SOURDOUGH STARTER IN THE OVEN while preheating it to bake sourdough bread. 😭😂 I was devastated!

But then this amazing woman ( Nevermore Bakery & Apothecary) came into the picture and gifted me a piece of HER sourdough starter so I could start all over again. She named it Edgar Allan Poe 🖤😂📚, and that is the starter I’ve used to create ALL of the sourdough goodies you see at my stand today!

So when you buy anything at Weeden’s Farmstand that has sourdough in it, just know there’s a little story behind it. ❤️ It all started because another woman was kind enough to share a piece of something she had nurtured herself.

And let me tell you, HER bread is absolutely AMAZING. The bread, the desserts, EVERYTHING she makes is incredible! 😩😍 I have so much respect for her talent, and I’m forever grateful that she shared a piece of her starter with me.

Sometimes, the smallest acts of kindness turn into something so much bigger than we ever imagined. 🥹❤️

This is your reminder that supporting another small business owner, sharing what you know, or simply helping someone start over can make a lasting difference.

So the next time you grab something sourdough from my stand, remember Edgar Allan Poe and the sweet woman who helped bring my sourdough journey back to life! 😂🍞🖤

And girl, if you’re reading this, THANK YOU! You’re a part of this little dream, too. 🩷🌾

📣 A REMINDER TO TAKE UP SPACE, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT COMES TO YOUR BUSINESS! 📣🔥

Nobody is going to promote you the way YOU promote yourself. Nobody is going to have the same vision, passion, or drive for your business that you do. YOU are your biggest cheerleader, your biggest supporter, and your number ONE. Start acting like it! 👏🏽

Post that product. Share that service. Talk about your business AGAIN. Show people what you’re working on. Celebrate your wins, even the little ones. Be proud of what you’re building, even when it feels like nobody is watching.

And PLEASE stop shrinking yourself to make other people comfortable. Stop worrying about who might get annoyed because you keep posting. Stop feeling embarrassed about being excited about something YOU worked hard for.

WHO CARES IF PEOPLE GET MAD? SO WHAT?! 😂

People will watch you struggle and say nothing, then watch you succeed and suddenly have something to say. You cannot build your dream around other people’s opinions!

Listen, not everyone is going to clap for you. Not everyone is going to support you. Some people will scroll right past you, and others will cheer you on. THAT’S LIFE.

But you better believe I’m going to show up for myself and my family. I’m going to talk about what we’re building, share our progress, celebrate our milestones, and keep putting our business out there. We worked TOO HARD to stay quiet about it! 🩷🌾

YOUR BUSINESS DESERVES TO BE SEEN. YOUR HARD WORK DESERVES TO BE CELEBRATED. AND YOU DESERVE TO TAKE UP SPACE.

So, to every small business owner who feels annoying for promoting themselves, this is your reminder: KEEP POSTING. KEEP SHOWING UP. KEEP TAKING UP SPACE.

You didn’t work this hard to play small. 🔥👏🏽
