Celeste fig, also known as the “sugar fig”. Medium sized, blushing purple fruit that are delightfully sweet when ripe. One of the most popular figs for home gardeners, with good reason! Celeste is a good option for container growing as well. We’ve got lots of Celeste and many other fig varieties in stock now, order online for shipping or pickup or stop by the nursery. Many of our stock plants in the orchard are beginning to ripen, so you may even be able to sample a few during your visit!

There’s no better feeling than our customers sharing their backyard growing success stories with us! Louanne’s beautiful Celeste fig was purchased in a mere 4” pot, and look at it now, happy as can be in Chapel Hill, NC.

Site selection is key when growing figs, and it is clear this one has absolutely thrived thanks to a well protected planting site (and a caring owner of course). Well done, Louanne!

Always feel free to send us pictures of your happy plants!
