Most people want some flowers to fill their vases… but lots of people don’t have the time to spend in the garden maintaining all the plants… this is what I would plant to be able to meet in the middle with flowers in the garden but not lots of time in the garden. Let me know what you would add to this list… I tossed up whether to include Dahlia or not.. I guess if you don’t stake them and you don’t lift them then it’s just deadheading and some feeding.. what do you think?

I came across these photos of bouquets I made a while ago, back when I was planning to grow and sell cut flowers. 🌸🌿

I was practising arranging and wrapping them, and I remember thinking they were terrible at the time.

Looking at them now, I actually don't think they're bad at all!

It's funny how hard we can be on ourselves when we're learning something new. We notice every little thing we'd change, compare ourselves to people who have been doing it for years, and convince ourselves we're not quite good enough yet.

A bit of time and perspective can make such a difference.

I'm glad I gave it a go, even though things ended up taking a different direction and leading me to Flora & Thread instead. 🌸🌿

A little reminder to be kinder to yourself and give yourself credit for how far you've come.

I always do this when planting tomato’s. I have also seen people lie them sideways under the soil. What are your best tomato growing tips? 🍅🍅🍅
