It was an absolute pleasure to work on the Department in Ryde, collaborating with an incredible team of designers, artists, and specialists to bring this remarkable building back to life.

Once a disused listed department store, the building has been transformed into a permanent home for carnival arts and a vibrant cultural hub for the Isle of Wight. A project like this is never the work of one team alone, and we’re incredibly proud to have worked alongside so many talented people throughout the journey!

Planning Approved ‼️

We have received planning approval for these beachside chalets on the Island. These chalets will be built off-site by a specialist modular company, where the design is prefabricated before being assembled on site. They will then be finished with a green standing seam roof, and black timber cladding on the front and rear elevations.

Another project taking shape 🦺
Here, the contractors are carefully dismantling an existing stone boundary wall. Rather than replacing the material, we’re retaining the original stone so it can be reused when rebuilding the boundary wall along the roadside.

Even the smallest projects deserve the greatest care.

This garage replacement, reimagined as a contemporary outbuilding and holiday let, may be modest in scale, but its setting demanded a thoughtful and sensitive approach. Nestled within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and surrounded by listed buildings, every design decision had to respect and enhance its historic context.

From rebuilding the traditional stone boundary wall, this project demonstrates that great design is often found in the details.

Sometimes it’s the quieter projects that require the most restraint, and we’re proud of the result.
