Evening all👋🏻 Hope you’re all safe & warm after the latest storm. It was certainly wild up here in Aberdeen. The weather has given me a chance to hunker down & pack for the Birnam Village Market THIS SATURDAY. I loved my first time there in August. With a ton of picks packed I can’t wait to show you what I’ve been finding & catch up with some of you then. With some of you talking Christmas shopping this is a great chance to buying local & unique.

Then quickly following on from that, please don’t forget I’m popping up at home in Aberdeen. As always there’s plenty happening!

A wee break after sourcing new pieces for the winter months down south. The more time I spend in Yorkshire the more I love it. Leeds has so much to offer & I enjoyed exploring the hidden gem that is Leeds Library only open to visitors at certain times, the Corn Exchange championing independent retail, Kirkgate Market the birthplace of M&S & Leeds Art Gallery with a beautiful coffee shop. Ended the trip at the very cool The Domino Club a music venue hidden behind a barbershop. Who’d have thought!

I’m never quite sure how far in advance to post about a Pop-Up. Yes after all these many years of doing a lot in a year! Posting early I fear you forget about it & too late you may have plans?! I hope it’s not the latter…because I have a ton of wonderful antiques & art for your interiors to bring joy over the darker months. With the clocks about to change & indoor hibernation impending there’s nothing better than being surrounded by pieces you’ve handpicked & love. And with gifting season upon us come see if I have a unique pick they’re unlikely to receive come that time.

Wanted to explore Howarth for a while now & today was the day. Brontë country & having read Jane Eyre way back for Higher English I was intrigued. Half the country thought the same as it was mega busy! So much to see it’s a kind of sensory overload. With a varied selection of shops & restaurants it’s left me inspired & full of ideas for PamPicks. If you’re ever round this way I’d recommend, just maybe not at a weekend when the insta world has promoted it to the max😖

…As soon as I spotted this ebonised hotel reception pigeon holes I knew I had to have it. A perfect showcase for some of the smaller picks & also importantly easy to lift & transport between Pop-Ups (unlike my other larger ones that I won’t sell, despite being repeatedly asked!). Their shape & colour with the odd knock & imperfection simply can’t be replicated with new pieces. And who’d want that, to have a piece the same as everyone else. Not me!

I’m off on my travels in the quest for treasure. Looking at the van full after Edinburgh I am questioning that! But I like to keep things fresh by always having new pieces joining the fold. Hopefully for a little while😉

…Well Edinburgh and just like that we are at the FINAL DAY of the Pop-Up TOMORROW! Can’t believe how quick it has flown. Many a pick has flown the PamPicks nest!
