We were in Chicago for a few days with SKS Canada, getting a behind-the-scenes look at their latest kitchen innovations. Between the beautiful showroom, incredible food, and great company, it was such a fun experience!

We got to see their latest appliances in action and learn more about the thinking behind them. A couple of favourites? The 48-inch Built-in French Door Refrigerator that sits beautifully flush with the surrounding cabinetry, and includes Craft Ice®. Another standout was the 24-inch Integrated Column W**e Refrigerator that holds up to 113 bottles, with gorgeous dark glass doors for ultimate UV protection.

There’s something so valuable about getting to see these products up close and experience how they work, especially when we’re helping clients make decisions for their own homes.

And of course, we enjoyed plenty of good food, great conversations, and a little time to explore Chicago along the way.

A big thank you to the SKS team for having us. We came home with lots of inspiration and a few new favourites!

If you’re the house where everyone gathers, your dining room has one job: fit everybody. And at our Etobicoke project, “everybody” has grown quite a bit over the years.

Our clients have adult children, grandchildren and a very close-knit family, so when we started rethinking their main floor, entertaining wasn’t some occasional nice-to-have. It was a huge part of how this home needed to work.

This is their only dining room, so we made the table as large as the space would allow. And when the guest list gets even bigger? The kitchen island picks up the slack as the kids’ table.

The kids grow up, grandchildren come along, and somehow you need more room when everyone comes over.

That’s where our clients found themselves. Their home felt tight and divided, and getting everyone together wasn’t as easy as they wanted it to be.

So we rethought the spaces around life now. Comfortable for the quiet days when it’s just them, and welcoming when the whole family comes over.

We’re back at Riverdale, and it’s exciting to see this Victorian’s renovation and large addition taking shape!

These walk-throughs are where we check the details, talk things through with the build team and make sure it’s all coming together as planned. There’s plenty happening behind the scenes, and we’re right there with it.

We know there comes a point in a renovation when you’re just ready to have your home back. To make dinner, have friends over and sit down somewhere that isn’t covered in dust.

And then, little by little, it comes together. The trades leave, the furniture arrives and you finally get to settle in.

That first quiet morning with a coffee in your finished home? We hope it’s even better than you imagined.

Imagine renovating your home once, and then coming back 25 years later because your family has basically outgrown the floor plan. That was our Golf Course Lane Project clients.

Their kids are grown, there are grandchildren in the mix now, and family gatherings look very different than they did when they last renovated. They didn’t necessarily need more house. They needed the house they already loved to bring everyone together better.

The old main floor felt tight and divided, so we opened things up and made this living room part of a much more connected layout. Now people can cook, eat, lounge, wrangle grandchildren and still actually feel like they’re all together.

Can we all agree that powder rooms are basically permission to have a little more fun? Especially when the space right outside already has this much going for it.

Project Durand is a beautiful old Queen Anne manor, and we really didn’t want to mess with all the character that made it special in the first place. So in the entry, we kept things light and let the gorgeous staircase, millwork and original details have their moment.

But then you peek into the powder room and…okay, different story. Deep charcoal walls, warm wood, a big chunky stone sink and that curved ceiling. It’s moody, a little unexpected and just so good tucked into an otherwise bright part of the house.

We’ve been sitting on this one and it’s FINALLY time. Introducing Project Golf Course Lane, our latest full service home renovation in Etobicoke.

The starting point? A home last renovated 25 years ago, a very close family that had grown considerably since then, and clients who wanted hosting everyone to feel a whole lot easier.

We rethought how the main floor connects, made room for the way they cook, gather and entertain now, and created a much more cohesive flow throughout — while still making the home feel like theirs.

And there’s a lovely story behind the trust these clients placed in us too. For now, consider this your first peek. We’ll be getting into ALL the good stuff soon.

Have you ever noticed how much stuff needs a home within like five seconds of walking through the front door? Shoes, bags, coats, keys… all the everyday things that can make an entry feel chaotic really quickly.

Our Annex clients’ original foyer just wasn’t doing enough for them, so during their home renovation we completely rethought it. We added serious closed storage and a long bench where you can comfortably sit down, drop your bag and take your shoes off.

We kept the design around it simple, because honestly… when your home comes with original stained-glass windows this good, you let them have their moment.
